Our Story
Be passionate about baking and cooking and enter it with Love.” At the age of 22, I began to cook because I had to. I was a single parent and had the awesome responsibility of caring for my baby boy - my gift from God. I was dedicated to making sure that he received the very best in life. Thus, I began cooking and baking. I began to research and study food and its nutritional value. It was an accomplishment for me to cook fresh wholesome home-cooked meals for my son instead of purchasing fast food. I believe healthy nutrition is the most important factor for maintaining and keeping good health. Healthy nutrition is eating a healthy balanced meal from all the basic food groups. Thus, cooking for me became fun, pleasurable, and stimulating.
I am as passionate about baking and cooking as I was 24 years ago. Today, I’m a licensed Culinary Professional trained in a range of culinary techniques, discipline in the workplace, and professionalism. I studied at the Community College of Baltimore County, MD. I maintain certification in ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association. I had the opportunity to work side by side with Sylvain Bortolini, the Executive Pastry Chef at MGM National Harbor. During my travels, I had the opportunity to participate in a meet and greet with Ron Ben-Israel, Israeli Pastry Chef and Executive Chef, and owner of Rob Ben-Israel Cakes in New York City. Now, it’s time to be at the forefront of creating an unforgettable culinary experience for you.
I bring a deep-rooted passion for baking with a strong desire to excel. Thus, today, I am the owner of Pure Sweet Indulgence Bakery and Café. Your experience will be exquisite and refined yet solace and soothing. Offering authentic seasonal, fresh ingredients and preparing everything from scratch.
